A self-proclaimed “dedicated learner”, Austin has amassed a diverse array of credentials:
- Founder of Twepto - Twepto is a social media marketing platform that connects businesses with potential customers on Twitter.
- Professionally competitive freestyle skier – An original innovator in a movement that became known as “freeskiing”, Austin collected a number of prestigious sponsors during his career as a skier, including Oakley, Line Ski Co., and Spyder. He also achieved top placements in a number of world-class events including the US Open and X-Games Qualifier.
- Founder of My Local Mountain – My Local Mountain is a web-based community application on Facebook that links skiers and snowboarders on the basis of their local ski areas. Austin quickly pushed My Local Mountain’s user base to 5000+ skiers and snowboarders in 10 different countries.
- Founder of AvidLip – AvidLip is an automated action sports videography company that delivers personal digital media to snowboarders and skiers. Austin brought together and managed several specialized teams to develop AvidLip’s unique video technology.
- Remote (and most often, mobile) Entrepreneur – Austin has successfully launched and managed Startups while traveling the world, proving that entrepreneurs no longer need to be limited to one location.
- Consultant and Speaker – As an independent consultant, Austin has had the opportunity to work with some wonderful non-profits. Austin also speaks about entrepreneurship, lifestyle design, and social media.
- Co-founder of Forza – Forza is a unique networking organization for entrepreneurs that utilizes the resources and expertise of its members to expedite success for its members and those they influence.
Austin received his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007, where he majored in Political Science and International Relations.
